MEET ASA.
Asa has been surrounded by music since a very young age. He began studying piano with Kathryn Brunner, the founder of Musik at Home, at the age of 4 and has since continued to study and play music in concert bands, jazz bands, chorus, and percussion ensembles. He holds a B.M. in jazz percussion from the University of North Texas. He is currently pursuing his masters degree in jazz arranging at UNT while also teaching piano. When it comes to music, his creativity is off the charts! You are going to love his jazz compositions for this course.

What's inside the course?
This course includes six instructional class videos and six practice track videos.
Each class focuses on one type of chord commonly used in jazz music. The chord taught in class is applied in practice in a jazz tune composed by Asa Nero.
For the fastest path to success, begin by immersing yourself in the tune by listening to the practice track several times before starting the class video.
In Class 1, you'll learn all about Major 7 chords. You'll learn the easygoing jazz tune "Pound Cake" by Asa Nero.
In Class 2, you'll learn all about Minor 7 chords. You'll learn the strong-sounding jazz tune "First Sail" by Asa Nero.
In Class 3, you'll learn all about Dominant 7 chords. You'll learn the driving jazz tune "North East" by Asa Nero.
In Class 3, you'll learn all about Diminished 7 chords. You'll learn the sweet jazz tune "Molasses" by Asa Nero.
In Class 5, you'll learn all about Half Diminished 7 chords. You'll learn the modern jazz tune "More or Less Blues" by Asa Nero.
In Class 6, you'll learn all about Major 7 chords. You'll learn the angular jazz tune "Big City Bustle" by Asa Nero.
How to Complete the Course
This is a self paced course with one year access.
Set a goal to complete one class per week or one class per month, depending on your schedule. By completing one per month, you'll complete the course in 6 months and have the next 6 months to come back to the content again and again.
Before starting, keep the practice track links handy and listen as often as possible. This will prepare your audiation for faster learning in class.
Print out the digital book to have the chord diagrams and lead sheets in front of you during class (the diagrams and lead sheets are shown during the videos, but having them in front of you will only help you succeed with ease).
